At CLA, we believe quality education is for everyone.

We are dedicated to creating and maintaining a culture that is safe and welcoming for all participants and staff, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or ability.

We believe in celebrating the qualities that make each of us unique and embracing our differences as opportunities for connection and conversation.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

Our policies and procedures are designed to support all participants, including transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary participants and staff in feeling safe and welcome in our programs.

To better support an inclusive community, students will be housed in all-gender cabins and will be assigned randomly one of the two. The two cabin groups will not be based on gender or age.
We aim to create an environment that encourages and supports all participants and staff to use pronouns that feel most comfortable throughout their time with us.
As an organization, our staff will use gender-inclusive language (e.g. we use "everyone," or "folks," in place of "guys" or "boys and girls").
